Art is for touching, not looking...

"Mom, could you take me to the art museum sometime?" Sure Alexa I've never been myself, but you know you can only look at the art museum, you can't touch anything. "never mind then"

"Stop the car! I need to pick that mess up...I can't believe someone would litter on Earth day!"

Tonight's car conversation:

Alexa: "This sun is so bright I can hardly stand it!"

Me: "Don't complain, it has rained so much this year already and will be back on sunday"

Alexa: "Well, rain makes the flowers grow and I guess Mother Nature is just in charge here"

Me: "ya, I guess so, but wish she'd give us some warmth instead"

Alexa: "well, I always thought God, Jesus or the President was in charge, but I guess Mothers have more power"

Becoming a Woman...

"I"m trying to become a woman Momma...You know, it's not that easy afterall. Makeup, wearing clothes all the time and having to look pretty...geez"

The Brown Rainbow...

Alexa is learning how to play "Somewhere over the Rainbow" on the piano. Her piano teacher was shocked that Alexa had never seen Wizard of Oz...so we rented it :)

She started watching today and I said so...are you excited? and she said....

"I can't watch this, there is something wrong with the disc! It's all brown and stuff! Rainbows are supposed to be colorful not brown!"

I guess I should have introduced her to "Black and White" beforehand ;)

Something Stinky About this Project...

"Mom, I chose skunk for my animal project at school. In order to really understand it and get to know it, I'm going to need one as a pet" "Don't worry, I'll take care of it!"

24 Hours...

Celebrating by breaking our diet tonight...we stopped at Mcdonalds.

"I should work here Momma...You know how long I can stay awake, 24 hours would be nothing for me"

Dazzled Up!

"I bet people in Blockbuster are going to wonder why I'm so dazzled up...Don't tell them why, just let them think I'm always this pretty"

It's Just Nature...

"I'm not sad about the butterfly dying. I mean they only live a short life anyway and there wasn't anything we could do...it's just nature. Some animals have a long life and some have a short life...that's just how nature works. You can't argue with it"

"I could totally be in the military Momma. I'm so strong and tough...I could climb the world's tallest building!" Really Alexa, the world's tallest building (I was thinking mountain) where is that? "It's in China...anything is possible Momma...anything!"

The tallest building is actually in Dubai, but I'll tell her that another day ;)
